Secure Mission Solutions Helps Raise Money for Diplomatic Security Foundation.
In support of the Diplomatic Security Foundation, members of the Secure Mission Solutions leadership team participated in their annual golf tournament to help raise money to assist members of the U.S. Department of State’s Diplomatic Security Service, law enforcement and foreign affairs communities who are in financial need.
An event that raised almost $100,000 for DSF, Secure Mission Solutions provided support through a copper level and hole sponsorship. Chief Operating Officer Phil Lacombe accompanied by Senior Vice Presidents Mark McIntosh and Marianne Meins as well as Vice President, Bob Thunker showed additional support through their attendance at the event in June.
The Diplomatic Security Foundation (DSF) was founded in 1995 as a charitable, non-profit organization to provide financial assistance to Diplomatic Security personnel as well as their foreign affairs/law enforcement counterparts both at home and abroad. The organization is designed to provide support, normally as a one-time grant to those that have a relationship with the Diplomatic Security community. With no membership roster or dues, the organization relies wholly on corporate and individual donations, fundraising events such as the golf tournament as well as their holiday gift program for funding.
Funds raised by DSF are utilized for a variety of purposes including survivor payments to family members of DS personnel; contributions to local police officers and/or their families in the event of death or serious illness; memorial service contributions; trust and scholarships funds for families of personnel who are killed in the line of duty; unexpected medical or natural disaster needs; as well as the DSF scholarship program for college students.
