• Charlie Templeton, Senior Vice President, Global Security Solutions and SPAWAR Initiatives

  

  Charlie was previously the Vice President of Business Services for WareOnEarth Communications, Inc. prior to the Secure Mission Solutions acquisition. Following the acquisition, Charlie was appointed as Senior Vice President/General Manager of the Mission Systems and Assurance Sector until the Secure Mission Solutions reorganization in 2011. Remaining involved in operations, Charlie is the Senior Vice President of the Global Security Solutions business unit headquartered in Charleston, SC. Due to his extensive experience with and knowledge of the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Atlantic, Charlie also oversees all SPAWAR initiatives.

  Charlie has over 30 years experience managing information technology (IT) systems, evaluating new technologies and working in the area of computer operations, telecommunications, information management, and information operations. His experience in the information technology business covers both the civilian as well as the military sectors.  At WCI he held positions as Technical Director, Program Manager, and Director of Operations in addition to his Vice President role.  In these roles he was responsible for day-to-day operations and management of more than 300 personnel.

  Charlie also has had a broad background in the military where he served in the communications, computer and information management areas.  He directed the day to day operations of networked computer systems for Air Force wide use and implementation of hardware, software and support services.  He is well versed in both the technical aspects of the defense industry as well as the management of technical resources in the defense contractor and military communities.
